Andy appeared in Beautiful Treasure, Jeanne the Maid: A Trial & Execution of Jeanne D’Arc (2003), and Russian Opus No. 1 (2004). An accomplished musician who—with stringed instrument in hand—regularly performs in Seattle-area venues. He made a return appearance as Telegin in APL’s inaugural Sunday Salon reading of Uncle Vanya.
Jennifer Crooks
Jennifer Crooks started working with the ensemble in 2017 and appeared as Porfiry Petrovich in Crime + Punishment (Jan 2018). A 2017 participant of Intiman Theatre Festival’s Emerging Artist Program, she is a busy local theatre artist and a former artistic associate with Chesapeake Shakespeare Company. Her The Juliet Project earned her The ECC Centennial Cup award from the Festival of European Anglophone Theatrical Societies in Antwerp, Belgium.
Brynna Jourden
Brynna took Joseph’s first class in Seattle at Freehold Theatre Lab/Studio and quickly became affiliated artistically with APL. She appeared in Beautiful Treasure, Song of Songs, Jeanne the Maid: A Trial & Execution of Jeanne D’Arc (2003), and Russian Opus No. 1. Brynna went on to earn her MFA at Naropa University, in partnership with the London International School of Performing Arts, and currently is an independent actress and educator in the San Francisco Bay area.
Eric Mayer-Garcia
In his 2001 to 2006 principal collaboration with APL, Eric appeared in Song of Songs (2002), Jeanne the Maid: A Trial & Execution of Jeanne D’Arc (2003), Russian Opus No. 1, and Dream of a Ridiculous Man (2004, 2005). Through Eric’s close association with the Swinomish Indian Tribal Community, Akropolis toured Dream to the Swinomish Reservation in LaConnor WA. Eric went on to earn his PhD in Theatre Studies from Louisiana State University. His research focuses on the Cuban avant-garde theatre in Havana, Miami, and New York and its intersection with US Latina/o theatre.
Linnea Ingalls
Linnea Ingalls joined Akropolis Performance Lab in Fall 2014 as an Artistic Apprentice, acting in Pomegranate & Ash and The Glas Nocturne (Seattle cast), and was promoted to Artistic Associate in Fall 2015. She is a Western Washington University Theatre Department alumna and, in summer 2015, participated in Intiman Theatre Festival’s inaugural Emerging Artist Program.
Trevor Young Marston
Trevor Young Marston, a 2014-2016 Artistic Associate, appeared in APL’s Pomegranate & Ash and read in several Sunday Salons. A Seattle-based actor and graduate of the University of Washington’s Professional Actor Training Program, he has been seen with Seattle Shakespeare Company, Book-It Repertory Theater, Seattle Public Theatre, and more.
Cathleen O’Malley
Having begun her affiliation with with Akropolis as an apprentice, Cathleen quickly earned her place as a full-fledged artistic associate. She appeared in Jeanne the Maid: A Trial & Execution of Jeanne D’Arc (2003), Russian Opus No. 1, and 365 Days / 365 Plays (2007). Cathleen went on to earn her MFA at Naropa University, in partnership with the London International School of Performing Arts. She is currently an independent performer and Director of Audience Engagement & Media Relations at Cleveland Public Theatre in Ohio.
Nick Rempel
Nick Rempel, an APL Artistic Associate from 2015 to 2017, is a busy actor. Locally he has worked with Seattle Shakespeare Company, Sound Theater Company, Wooden O, and Seattle Children’s Theater. Regionally he has worked with Berkeley Repertory Theater, A Noise Within (Los Angeles), the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, as well as the Berkeley, Baltimore, and Nevada Shakespeare Festivals. He acted Off-Broadway in adobe theatre’s production of Notions In Motion, and Off-Off-Broadway (OOBR award) in American Valentines. He has preformed in London as well as the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Radio, film and TV credits include Final Passages with L.A. Theatre Works (live on NPR); Robin Hood: Men in Tights; Dracula: Dead and Loving It; Clay Farmers (BBC/ PBS); Serving Time (PBS); and All My Children (he saved Susan Lucci’s life!). He also played a time traveling Nazi in Back to the Fuhrer!
Matthew Sherrill
Matthew Sherrill became an Artistic Associate in 2015. He served as dance captain and created the role of Narcissus in APL’s Ecce Faustus (2016), as well as Razumikhin in Crime + Punishment (2017-18). In Summer 2015 he participated in Intiman Theatre Festival’s inaugural Emerging Artist Program. He was Producing Assistant for Common Ground Music Project’s international initiative to Cuba (2016), as well as the acclaimed bilingual 2017 Proof Porch Project.
